Denis here! Wow, it’s been a really long time since I last updated. My apologies. Let me do a quick update to get you up to speed on what’s being going on.

2015 was a crazy year, a good crazy, and that’s all thanks to how awesome you guys are! Because of your help, Corvink was able to release our first plush toy line, a dream I’ve had for years, and now is a reality! I’m still having a hard time processing it but with every opportunity more begin to unfold. So, as we start 2016 I’m beginning to set the stage for more and more things.

New YouTube Channel

In addition to a brand new store, which went live just a few days ago, I will also be focusing my time building up my YouTube channel. I started this channel right before my Kickstarter campaign, simply as a way to just load up some videos to share about the toys but I quickly found that I enjoy editing and began posting other content like vlogs and drawing videos. I want to do more of this in 2016 as a way to give you guys a window into what it is I do to make Corvink come alive!

If you missed out on the opportunity to get one of these little guys while we were running our Raven Stitch Plush Element Kickstarter campaign (originally called Corvink Elements), it’s ok. There’s no need to worry yourselves like our Air Plush does all the time. Why’s that? Well that’s because they are official available for pre-order on the Corvink Etsy store

Watch a video I put together for you to preview the toys! [ SPOILER ALERT: Contains cute dog being cute. ]

Hope you guys enjoyed that awkward video of my dog Winslow and I, it was fun for me to put together. Make sure to subscribe to my new YouTube channel for more Corvink related videos! Now, let’s get on to how you can get your very own Elements. Below you will find some info about our little friends with links to pre-order yours today! (Estimated Shipping Date: June 20th)

Fire Plush Element Toy

“Fire burns hot with passion and enthusiasm, it can be brave, valiant and often rebellious. But, because of its nature, it can also be a bit snappy, uncontrollable and angry! #@&%!”

Water Plush Element Toy

“Water is full of emotion and empathy. Though it can be a bit cold, moody, and sensitive at times, as long you show it a little love, it can be warm to the touch. Don’t be sad, lil’ water drop!”

That’s right Washington, I will be returning to Seattle on March 27-29 for this years Emerald City Comicon! This years appearance will mark my 6th year exhibiting at conventions, and 6th year traveling to Seattle for this con. It’s mind blowing that it’s been that long. Thanks to the support from awesome people like you, it’s been an amazing ride so far. I will be located in the same spot this year as I was last year (Booth 605). Also this year I have a piece in the Monsters and Dames 2015 Charity Book, available ONLY at the convention itself. I’m excited to welcome in this years con season with you guys! See you soon.

More and more shows keep getting added to our events page, make sure to check regularly for updates!

How to “Favorite Shop” and “Favorite” Product on Etsy

Big news! Corvink is now on Etsy and Storenvy (links below). Our hopes being that with the upcoming holiday season that people will be favoriting our products for gift ideas and hopefully spreading the word a bit. The more places we can be found, the better, right?

One really nice thing about having your store on a marketplace (like Etsy and Storyenvy), rather than just on your own e-commerce website, is the fact that there is a built in community. The only catch is that new buyers need to feel comfortable buying from a random new store they’ve never heard of. People need confidence that a store is legit and worth their attention. Considering both of these stores are new, they both need a little bit of help getting started!

Money is tight these days, so you don’t have to go and buy anything right now, but if you want to help us get started, there are a few ways you can help in a big way! If you have an Etsy account, please consider favorite our shop and any listing you love. The more favorites an item has, the higher they will rank in search feeds. Or at least, in theory.

If you’re on Storenvy, this process is even more simple. For this site, all you need to do is click the “Envy This” button when you hover over the item. You can also click the heart below the item as well.

Thanks for your support, and if you have any recommendations on how Corvink can continue to grow, please share. We’d love to hear your ideas!

After a ton of deliberation, I’ve decided that Corvink should be a store front, with the tagline “Occult Emporium,” which is a pretty good verbal description of the over arching theme of all my current, and future projects. Occult, for those of you not in the know, is not some creepy cultish thing. It’s actually just anything that involves the supernatural, the mystical, or general magical ideology, practices, or phenomena. Which perfectly describes a lot of the creative ideas and visions I have for Corvink moving forward. I’ll go more into this on personal art blog later, but you can read my post about why I split my websites up to learn more about this decision now. Hopefully with this you can at least you can get an idea of where I’m going with Corvink. You can also continue to see my artwork at DenisCaron.com and continue reading L.A.W.L.S. Comics at its own site again. Thanks for your support! I hope you like all the new sites.

TIME TO GET READY! If you live in Utah come to Salt Lake Comic Con at Salt Palace Convention Center between September 4th and 6th and stop by the Corvink Booth – Booth 1031. I’ll be there, so hopefully will you too! This is will be a first for me visiting the Salt Lake City, or even Utah. I’m pretty excited to visit. Hopefully this city loves comics as much as other towns do! Also, don’t forget to also swing our fellow Booth Bastards: Fez-o-Rama, Badali Jewelry, Steam Crow, and Cody Vrosh (locations seen on map below).

This is Corvink’s first appearance at a Utah convention, see other west coast appearances on our events page.

Corvink will be returning to San Diego Comic-Con International next week at the San Diego Convention Center. We will be located in the same spot as last year, Booth 1133. Which is such a crazy honor to be located next to so many great creators in the Web Comics area.

As always, don’t forget to stop by my fellow Booth Bastards booths, which you can find on this Indie Creators Map! Which, for the first time ever Decobot (the Creators of Destined Legends) will be a the show promoting the game. Even though its on the total other side of the convention center, definitely make that trek over there. It’ll be worth it, the game is awesome!

Can’t make it to Comic-Con in San Diego? Check our convention list on our events page, we might be coming to a show closer to you!
